Thanks to a determined and effective campaign by the Wolds Action Group (which was supported by evidence from Matlock Civic Association), the appeal by William Davis against the decision of Derbyshire Dales District Council to refuse planning permission for the Gritstone Road development was turned down by the Planning Inspectorate.
